Agree 100%. I was never less “free” than when I was a freelancer/ghostwriter full-time. I just listened to a podcast interview with someone who has freelanced for 25 years & he described how he is more overweight than he would prefer, sleeps less, and has had to accept less money during COVID. He has kids to support now and can’t just stop writing. But he is “free.” Really? This article and that podcast reminded me that you need to define freedom for yourself before you take the plunge into freelancing.
